Western Canada’s premier indoor archery tournament

January 18th & 19th, 2025

at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta

Why is it dubbed The Ironman?

The original idea was to see who could shoot a multitude of arrows and still be standing strongest in the end. Simple as that. So, in 1993, the Lethbridge Bowbenders Archery Club held its first Ironman archery tournament.

Our tournament has grown over the past thirty years to become the largest indoor archery competition in Alberta, and we are proud to promote it as the only one of its kind in Canada. For the past 30 years (excluding 2020, due to Covid-19), our tournament has been held at the Lethbridge and District Exhibition grounds, and we are grateful for their continued cooperation.

Anyone who has shot the whole weekend- 3D and Target- will agree it’s a challenging shoot that will test competitors physically and mentally.

In 2024, we hosted over 200 competitors from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Montana. Archers gather to test their skill in Traditional, Compound, Hunter and Sighted Recurve categories- and test their skill in the 3D and Target Shoot-outs for cash prizes.

Back for 2025!

We are pleased to report that there WILL be a food concession available at the tournament!

“Don't think of what you have to do, don't consider how to carry it out!" he exclaimed. "The shot will only go smoothly when it takes the archer himself by surprise.”
